      Job Summary:

      SI&T integrates, verifies, and validates our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers.

      The Battlefield Radar (BFR) group in Fullerton, CA, is seeking an experienced Radar Systems Engineer for one or more of its programs on the Sentinel radar product line for development. This entails radar software requirements definition and system integration/test.

      Responsibilities to Anticipate:

      • Develop, manage, and maintain system and software requirements in Dynamic Object- Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
      • Radar integration and test support, including live fire test events.
      • Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
      • Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded systems.
      • Domestic and international travel as needed.
      • Support Systems level Integration and test planning, design, and execution
      • Perform integration and test activities In-house or at site locations.
      • Develop Test plans, procedures, and test cases.

      Basic Qualifications:

      Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.

      • Experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
      • Experience with radar integration and test support and data analysis.
      • Experience developing, managing, and maintaining system and software requirements in Dynamic Object- Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).

      The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance by Day 1. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Existing and active DoD clearance strongly preferred
      • Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design.
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
      • Strong analytical skills.
      • Familiarity with Agile Scrum Methodology.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Programming experience in C/C++ and Visual Basic.
      • Experience in requirements development.
      • Experience with design of system level architecture.
      • Experience with signal processing techniques.
      • Knowledge of Modeling and Simulation.

      The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
