- Serve as the first point of contact for personal income tax inquiries via inbound and outbound calls
- Provide clear, accurate information about state tax programs
- Research and resolve routine issues while ensuring a positive customer experience
- Maintain professionalism, patience, and empathy with every interaction
- Accurately document interactions using CRM and call center systems
- Navigate multiple IT systems efficiently to provide timely resolutions
- 2+ years of accounting experience or experience explaining financial information to individuals
- 2+ years of customer service experience, including call center or telecommunications
- 1+ year of computer proficiency, with the ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously
- Experience using CRM platforms and call center software
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex information
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
- Maryland residency strongly preferred
- Coursework in bookkeeping or accounting
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Additional coursework in bookkeeping or accounting preferred
