  QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Ohio teaching licensure in the appropriate grade level and/or subject area is required, or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Reading Endorsement or a Master's Degree in Reading is preferred
  • Candidate must be a highly qualified teacher AND meet the Third Grade Reading Guarantee teacher requirements
  • Training and experience in hands-on methods
  • Can articulate and demonstrate understanding and implementation of Ohio's New Learning Standards
  • Documented and proven ability to teach in a blended or flipped learning environment
  • Previous experience/training with a learning management system (LMS)
  • Shows evidence of frequent progress monitoring with proficiency in analyzing data to drive individualized, differentiated instruction
  • Training and experience in using cooperative learning, problem-based learning, thematic instruction, integrated planning, simulations and other models of teaching that promote students' engagement in their learning
  • Proven ability to design and deliver instruction for ALL learners, especially students with exceptionalities
  • Has strong background in positive behavior management and can relate to the at-risk with families, courts and social agencies that provide services to students
  • Experience with inclusion settings; co-teaching, team teaching, cross-curricular teaching, and Response to Intervention (RTI)
  • Excellent evaluations and/or recommendations; strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Training and experience in goal setting
  • Ability and willingness to engage in ongoing curriculum development
  • Familiarity with learning styles and multiple intelligences
  • Willingness to work as a member of a team-oriented faculty
  • Commitment to improving student performance as measured local and state assessment measures.
