      We are searching for a talented Team Lead-Postanesthesia Care Unit

      Hours: 40hrs

      Shift: Day/Evening shift; Variable start times to meet needs of the unit; Participation in on-call coverage may be required to support operational and/or staffing needs.

      Location: PACU - St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA

      Responsibilities

      Under the direction of the Director, Perioperative Services and under immediate supervision of the Manager, Pre-/Postoperative Services, perform diversified duties involving the planning, organization, direction, supervision and coordination of assigned Postanesthesia Care Unit and Inpatient Holding personnel and activities. Responsible for orientation, training, development and management assigned personnel. Work collaboratively with surgeons, surgical service leadership and staff, materials management, and other ancillary departments in efficiently carrying out Postanesthesia Care Unit activities. This position requires 90% of time devoted to clinical duties.

      Qualifications

      • Graduate of approved ANA program in Registered Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing or the equivalent knowledge or experience is preferred.
      • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
      • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
      • Must demonstrate working knowledge of computers.
      • A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience is required, i.e., PACU or Critical Care.
      • At least two (2) years of previous management experience is preferred.
      • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
      • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications are required.
      • American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support
      • PACU or Critical Care Experience Preferred

      • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

      • Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

      Pay Range

      USD $49.87 - USD $92.63 /Hr.

      Rotation Schedule Requirement

      Participation in on-call coverage may be required to support operational and/or staffing needs.
