Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• 8–12 years of experience in IT project/program management, with at least 3–5 years in data/analytics or
BI projects.
• Proven experience managing Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy implementation or migration programs.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle — ingestion, transformation (ETL/ELT), modeling, and reporting.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet).
• Solid grasp of agile and hybrid project methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional global teams and managing vendor or offshore delivery.
• Familiarity with Power BI architecture, DAX concepts, or data warehouse environments (SQL, Azure Synapse, Snowflake).
• Exposure to QA processes for BI validation (data reconciliation, report testing).
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or Agile certification preferred.
• Experience in change management and user adoption of BI solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Program Planning & Governance
o Define project scope, objectives, and delivery roadmap for the BI migration initiative.
o Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestone tracking in coordination with technical and business teams.
o Establish governance structure, communication cadence, and risk management framework.
• Execution & Delivery
o Manage day-to-day execution of Power BI migration and development activities.
o Coordinate efforts between data engineering, BI development, QA, and business stakeholders.
o Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and escalate risks or blockers proactively.
o Ensure deliverables align with functional and non-functional requirements (data accuracy, performance,
usability).
• Stakeholder Management
o Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and leadership.
o Facilitate requirement workshops, status reviews, and UAT sessions.
o Translate business needs into technical tasks and ensure clear understanding across teams.
• Quality & Risk Management
o Oversee QA and UAT planning to ensure migrated dashboards meet acceptance criteria.
o Track defects, change requests, and validation results to closure.
o Maintain documentation on scope, assumptions, and change control.
• Reporting & Communication
o Provide regular project updates, dashboards, and executive summaries on progress and risks.
o Ensure consistent communication between cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders.
