      Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE
      Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

      Story Behind the Need
      Business group: Credit Risk Data & Analytics – Business Banking. This group consolidates Business Banking data across the organization and supports strategic data initiatives, new data feeds, and enterprise‐level reporting.
      Project: The Business Banking Transformation project requires a technical writer to develop a consolidated, living Encore User Guide that captures field‐level definitions and the underlying logic of derived fields within Encore. The role will also establish and document operating procedures to ensure the artifact remains accurate, current, and sustainably maintained.
      Encore is a new system that centralizes Business Banking data. The primary responsibility is to translate complex technical rules and code into clear, plain‐language documentation consumable by a wide range of business and technical users.

      Candidate Value Proposition:
      The successful candidate will gain exposure to Business Banking credit risk data and work closely with cross‐functional partners across the Bank. This role is highly visible, foundational to the new Encore platform, and offers the opportunity to shape long‐term documentation standards for Business Banking data.

      Must Have Skills
      1. 7+ years of experience in technical writing, with demonstrated ability to create clear, concise, high quality documentation (user guides, data definitions, process documentation).
      2. Strong ability to read and understand technical code/logic (e.g., SQL, ETL/DataStage) and translate it into simple, plain language explanations for non technical stakeholders.
      3. Experience collaborating with technical teams (developers, data engineers) to gather information and validate system logic.

      Nice to Have Skills
      1. Working knowledge of SQL or ETL tools to support understanding of transformation logic.
      2. Familiarity with business banking, credit risk, or financial services data environments.
      3. Experience documenting data warehouses, data flows, or data transformation rules.
      4. Previous experience in large enterprise environments (e.g., *** or similar financial institutions).

      Soft Skills Required:
      • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

      Education:
      Educational background in Commerce, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

      Strong technical writing background with hands‐on experience creating BRDs, FSDs, STMs, data dictionaries, and process maps
      Can read and interpret SQL, ETL code, and system logic, and convert it into clear documentation without heavy IT hand‐holding
      Familiar with credit risk concepts and Business Banking data models
      Comfortable working in complex data environments with customized repositories

      Candidate Review & Selection – Interview Process
      1 round – in person at 40 King (Wed, Thurs or Fri) – 45 minutes – with HM and Director
