      What will you do?

      • Our Clerks and Administrative Assistants handle a variety of duties—including data entry, records management, customer service, reception, and meeting minutes—at city-wide locations, with most assignments easily accessible by transit
      • As successful candidates, you will become part of Staff Support (internal staffing pool) and will be assigned to various placements according to the operational needs of the organization
      • Completion of Grade 12 OR an appropriate administrative certificate program
      • Minimum 1 year diversified administrative experience including but not limited to reception, data entry, call centre, meeting minutes and information processing

      Skills required for success:

      • Demonstrated proficiency using Google and Microsoft Office applications (assessment will be conducted)
      • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
      • Experience using one or more of these programs: POSSE, PeopleSoft, SAP Ariba, SAP PO Creation, SAP MIGO, SAP Plant Maintenance, SAP Time Entry
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
      • Willingness, ability and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities, work environments, and new responsibilities is required

      Conditions of employment:

      • A Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton may be required for certain assignments. There may be a cost associated with this requirement

      Hours of Work: Up to 8 hours per day, up to 5 days per week (may include weekends). These positions are on an on-call basis. Hours of work are not guaranteed and will vary based on business needs.

      Salary Range: $24.533 - $30.315 (Hourly)
