      Job Overview

      As a Test Automation Engineer of ING Hubs PH Retail Tech, he/she plays a key role in maintaining the high degree of confidence that ING clients have in conducting business with us by providing automated testing solutions to ensure that the software release to our end-users is reliable and of highest quality. The role requires active collaboration with the developers, stakeholders, customer journey experts, and teams outside his area. He/she is also expected to report to his squad and his chapter lead.

      Key Responsibilities

      Ensure the effective execution of testing activities, following the testing strategy and best practices and standards, by conducting regular review of quality-related metrics and reports

      Provide complete and organized defect report for any finding during functional / non- functional tests execution

      Maximize utilization of the test automation tools

      Ensure comprehensiveness and reliability of test coverage (includes functional, non-functional, and automated tests)

      Explore and/or establish test automation framework and test automation scripting standards as needed

      Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues related to test automation

      Provide on-demand testing support to stakeholders (e.g. test data creation, production deployment)

      Work closely with the developers and stakeholders, active participation to agile

      ceremonies (e.g. backlog refinement, planning, daily standup, product demo)

      Key Capabilities/Experience

      At least three (3) years of solid experience in Web and API test automation, with exposure to pipeline integration

      Good testing foundation

      Eagerness in delivering high quality software efficiently

      Passionate in automation, open to apply the DevOps model in day-to-day activities

      Minimum Qualifications

      Must have

      Testing mindset

      Front-end Testing and Automation – Selenium-based framework in Object-Oriented programming language (Core Java with cucumber/serenity or C# with or without SpecFlow or Python)

      API Testing and Automation – Postman with automation, Java RestAssured or similar framework

      Exposure to versioning tool (Git)

      Experience in CI/CD (Azure Pipelines, Jenkins)

      Good troubleshooting / debugging skills

      Effective communication skills, written and oral

      Nice to have

      Test Automation using Karate / Playwright / Cypress

      Kafka testing

      Database testing

      Non-functional testing (performance, security testing)

      Exposure to multi-cultural environment

      Leadership and stakeholder management experience
