The Trades Specialist IV assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, moving furniture or materials within the facility. The position also requires the use of a work order system to log activities as required.This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.A high school diploma or equivalent and formal training or trade experience that is directly related to the area of employment.
Experience performing complex maintenance and repair tasks in areas such as carpentry, masonry, electricity, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and boiler operation.Employee is subject to emergency calls and additional scheduled work at any time and may be required to work on other campuses. Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted, climb 12 foot ladders, and perform physical tasks normally associated with maintenance work. Must be able to walk outside and on rooftops, climb stairs, stand, squat, reach, pull, and kneel for long periods of time.About the company
