Job Description

- Ensure operational legal compliance, including health & safety, environmental standards, and working time regulations.
- Lead, coach, and develop drivers, driving performance, engagement, and alignment with site culture and EOS plans.
- Plan and manage staffing and transport resources to meet operational and budgetary requirements, including rota management.
- Optimise labour and equipment utilisation to meet forecasted volumes and achieve service standards.
- Maintain strong communication across shifts and support the induction, training, and development of all employees.
- Strong background in managing legal and regulatory compliance, including health & safety and transport legislation.
- Proven people leadership, with experience in succession planning, team development, and managing performance.
- Good operational understanding of the UK road network and logistics environments.
