      Primary Purpose

      To support the vision, mission, and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12. The Texas Strategic Leadership (TSL) Performance Management & Data Coordinator is responsible for empowering district leadership teams to align their systems with high-impact strategies that drive student outcomes. This role focuses on systems-level analysis, advanced project management, and the principles of effective organizational performance management to facilitate strategic planning and sustainable district improvement.

      Qualifications

      Education/Certification

      • Bachelor’s Degree
      • Master’s Degree
      • K-12 campus and/or district leadership experience required

      Special Knowledge/Skills

      • In-depth experience with state data systems, including attendance, accountability, assessment (STAAR), PEIMS, and specialized student populations.
      • Strong analytical skills with a relentless focus on improving student outcomes through data interpretation and visualization software.
      • Proven experience in campus or district leadership, emphasizing data-driven coaching and instructional oversight.
      • Strong long-term planning skills, including the ability to establish outcomes, determine evaluative measures, and track progress over multi-year cycles.
      • Strong ability to plan and conduct professional development tailored to executive-level clients and diverse stakeholders.
      • Ability to build productive working relationships with ESC team members and district leadership while maintaining a solution-focused attitude.
      • Commitment to Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives and the ability to implement complex policy and procedures.
      • Dedicated to continuous personal and professional growth, including attending required professional development to remain a subject matter expert in the field.
      • Experience in designing and implementing data dashboards within the Google Looker Suite.

      General Responsibilities

      • Support Region 12 schools in developing leadership capacity to align systems toward student outcome goals through strategic planning and organizational performance analysis.
      • Lead the execution of key milestones by identifying activities, owners, success criteria, and resources. Ensure proactive risk mitigation and barrier removal for district progress.
      • Lead and conduct the Effective Districts Framework (EDF)-aligned diagnostic data evidence-gathering processes, particularly for small districts, to identify systemic strengths and opportunities.
      • Create compelling data visuals and storytelling outputs that enable Superintendents and leadership teams to make informed, data-driven decisions.
      • Prepare and facilitate diagnostic and strategic planning processes with the TSL Lead Coach, ensuring alignment with both system-level and student-level outcome goals.
      • Organize and maintain knowledge management systems to support efficient operations, logistical processes, and regional scaling of TSL initiatives.
      • Participate in pilot learning experiences and provide creative problem-solving and feedback to stakeholders to refine program execution.
      • Demonstrate mastery of project inputs, outputs, and outcomes to achieve and maintain official certification as a TSL Performance Management & Data Specialist.

      All positions at ESC 12 are defined as security-sensitive. Security-sensitive positions are those which require employees to be entrusted with certain types of data, whether electronic or in paper form. Those data elements, as defined by the ESC 12 Data Classification and Handling Policy may include, but not limited to:

      Benefit Information

      • ESC Region 12 provides a monetary contribution up to $575 per month to use for employee/family healthcare and supplemental benefits.
      • Employee earns state personal, sick, and vacation leave.
      • All employees contribute to both: Teachers Retirement System (TRS) and the Social Security retirement programs
