      This scheme is open for undergraduates enrolled on a Bachelor's course at university, looking for a year-in-industry as part of their course.

      Your New Role

      As a Technical Animation Intern, you will join our Technical Animation Group, working closely with both the Rigging and Technical Animation teams. You'll collaborate with Animators, Designers, Artists, Programmers and Production on a day-to-day basis, giving you hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.

      Your Role Accountabilities

      This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major new AAA project for a world-renowned IP. You will help to develop assets, tools and systems used across the character animation pipeline. Your main responsibilities will be to...

      • Build efficient, game-ready control rigs, Unreal Animation Blueprints and animation setups for a wide variety of characters, creatures, and vehicles.

      • Work closely with your line-manager, In-game & Cinematics Animators, and other technical support staff in animation setup, systems and troubleshooting.

      • Create clear documentation for tools, systems, workflows and best practices.

      Qualifications & Experience

      You will be a great fit for this position if you have…

      • A collaborative and enabling attitude, willing to go above and beyond to resolve technical issues.

      • Good communication skills and work well with multidisciplinary teams.

      • A firm knowledge of rigging and/or technical animation.

      • Experience using Autodesk Maya or alternative 3D software.

      • Experience using Unreal Engine.

      • You must be a current University student in your 2nd year of study, looking to spend your 3rd year on placement and graduating no earlier than July 2028.

      “Nice to Have” skills are...

      • Experience creating Animation Blueprints

      • Experience writing Python tools and scripts

      Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
