- Load and unload parts onto different presses.
- Clean slag off of parts.
- Perform sandblasting tasks.
- Potentially load materials onto a plasma table.
- Load materials onto a burn table.
- Operate machinery with a concentration on a press during the first shift.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prior machine operation experience, including brake press and shear press.
Job Title: Utility WorkerJob DescriptionThis position is a manufacturing associate role within a metal fabrication company. The role involves handling various tasks related to production and metal parts processing, including loading and unloading parts onto different presses, cleaning slag off of parts, sandblasting, and potentially loading materials onto plasma and burn tables. One of the two available spots will focus on operating a press during the first shift.

Work EnvironmentThe shop consists of 40 team members and specializes in custom parts for the agricultural industry. The first shift runs from 4 AM to 12 PM, Monday through Friday, and the second shift from 12 PM to 8 PM, with some Saturday work. Employees are required to wear jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes for safety.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
