  Salary: $18.00 Hourly
  Work Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week, including nights and weekends as needed

  • Limited Hours: Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period.
  • Pension System: Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city’s pension system.
  While roster positions do not include benefits, they are often a pathway to full-time, benefited employment with the City. Many of our current full-time employees started in roster positions, and we encourage you to explore this opportunity as a potential first step in your career with us.

  About the Role
  As a Video Content Specialist, you will:
  • Capture compelling video and photography of Parks and Recreation events, staff, and community stories.
  • Edit and produce engaging video content for both long-form storytelling and short-form social media posts.
  • Utilize special effects, animation, and creative editing techniques to enhance content.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop fresh, engaging ideas for digital storytelling.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  What You Bring
  Minimum Qualifications
  
  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • One or more years of experience with developing and creating compelling stories
  • One or more years of videography and editing experience
  
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Has developed videos at a professional level other than social media
    
  • Has experience in video animation and effects
