      The Visual Arts Specialist serves as a member of the Creative Services design team, providing advanced, forward-thinking visual design expertise that is essential to the university’s branding, marketing, recruitment, and strategic communications efforts. This position is responsible for translating institutional priorities and narratives into brand-compliant, high-quality visual solutions that ensure consistency, relevance, and competitiveness within the higher education landscape. Operating in a fast-paced, agency-style environment, the role collaborates closely design directors to deliver integrated creative work that directly supports enrollment, reputation management, and external engagement. As a team member within Creative Services, this position helps maintain and evolve the university’s visual identity and ensures the timely delivery of professional, on-brand materials critical to the university’s success.

      Position Summary

      • Develop graphic design work that plays a critical role in shaping the university’s public identity, reputation, and competitive positioning within the higher education landscape.
      • Serve as a forward-thinking creative professional who actively monitors, interprets, and applies emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices specific to higher education marketing, recruitment, and institutional storytelling.
      • Operate with professional judgment in a fast-paced, agency-style environment, balancing innovation with governance, brand standards, and institutional complexity.
