  We are seeking a dynamic executive leader to step into the newly created role of VP Corporate Strategy & Innovation—a corporate quarterback position designed to assist the Company in realizing deliverables.   POSITION SUMMARY
  As a member of the senior executive team, reporting to the President & CEO, you play a key role in developing & executing on Milton Hydro’s progressive and forward-looking Strategy. Your duties & responsibilities extend to all subsidiaries including Milton Hydro Holdings Inc. (Holding Company), Milton Hydro Distribution Inc. (Electrical Utility), and two non-regulated business entities: Milton Hydro Energy & Generation Solutions (MEGS) and ENDVR Energy Inc.

  Provide strategic leadership for enterprise-wide IT, customer excellence, process improvement, project management, strategy implementation, and enterprise risk management. As part of a dynamic executive team and business partner, you will help drive innovation and foster a customer-centric culture across all business units.

  KEY DUTIES

  • Foster a culture where every employee understands their role in delivering value to customers. Oversee the optimization of customer touchpoints to reduce friction and enhance the customer experience, integrating IT, AI and data analytics
  • Actively support and manage to a client & customer centric approach – encouraging & empowering employees to consider customers and internal clients, while managing software implementation & delivery solutions; data analytics and/or executing enterprise-wide strategic objectives
  • Define & lead the innovation agenda aligned with the Company’s strategy & goals, by driving cross-functional collaboration, allocation of resources and monitoring impacts to ensure cohesive alignment of effort and results
  • Working with the CEO and Executive leaders, assist in translating strategy into actionable initiatives, manage & report on deliverables, integrate AI and analytics into core business processes and oversee the centralized Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Working with the executive, support the corporate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) governance framework by monitoring & reporting how risks are identified, assessed, prioritized and managed across the Company. Collaborate with executive leaders and business units to integrate risk assessment into daily operations and strategic planning

  SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of business, finance, data science/IT, engineering or related field
  • MBA or masters’ degree an asset
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive leadership experience of which, at a minimum 5 years in an executive level position and responsible for multiple enterprise functions
  • Demonstrated success in leading strategic initiatives, process optimization and innovation programs
  • Project Management certification an asset (PMP, CSM, Six Sigma)
  • Familiarity with building internal AI capabilities and functionality an asset
  • Experience overseeing a centralized PMO, managing complex project portfolios and implementing standardized process improvement an asset
  • Advanced executive presence, and the ability to work with a high degree of discretion and integrity
  • Advanced leadership, communication and strategic thinking skills
  • Advanced analytical and project management skills
  • A solid track record of influencing senior business leaders while demonstrating excellent decision-making skills
  • An excellent collaborator and problem-solver
  • Ability to foster a high-performing, collaborative, team-oriented work environment
