      Shift: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm

      Wage: $17.50/hour

      The Order Picker is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders destined to be delivered to our customer’s stores.

      • Accurately pick with an RF gun and place necessary quantities into boxes with a cart or a hand jack.
      • Verify that appropriate product is picked to meet customer order requirements.
      • Adhere to customer order requests; special packing requirements / special label requirements / special staging requirements.
      • Audit and adjust picked inventory as necessary.
      • Communicate pick location inventory discrepancies.
      • Meet predetermined KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) without compromising accuracy/ health and safety.
      • Maintain an organized work area; remove cardboard boxes/ trash as necessary throughout the course of the workday.
      • Adhere to all security SOPs to ensure the security of the warehouse and the client’s product.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      HEALTH & SAFETY:

      • Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Safety, Violence and Harassment laws
      • Work in a healthy and safe manner following Metro’s policies, procedures
      • Always wear or use protective equipment
      • Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisor
      • Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others
      • Must not put other workers at risk by your actions

      EXPERIENCE:

      • At least 1 year warehouse experience in a warehouse as an order selector
      • Experience with a RF scanner is an asset

      CORE COMPETENCIES:

      • Proven communication both written and verbal in English
      • Must be capable of sitting, standing, lifting and walking for extended periods of time
      • Ability to follow directions
      • Service orientated with strong customer interaction skills and commitment
      • Good mathematical skills
