      Job Description

      The MCAW Welder is responsible for performing high-quality structural welding and fabrication in an industrial environment. This role supports fitting, assembly, and welding of structural cruise ship frames while working as part of a fast-paced, safety-focused team. The ideal candidate is reliable, skilled in MCAW processes, and committed to quality.

      Responsibilities

      • Perform MCAW welding on structural cruise ship frames.
      • Assist with fitting, alignment, and assembly to meet project specifications.
      • Maintain weld quality standards and follow established procedures.
      • Perform grinding, finishing, and related fabrication tasks as required.
      • Work effectively within a multi-trade industrial team.
      • Communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.
      • Contribute to a productive and respectful team environment.
      • Follow all company safety policies and site requirements.
      • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
      • Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
      • Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.

      Essential Skills

      • 3+ years of structural welding experience (MIG).
      • MCAW CWB Certification.
      • Ability to read welding blueprints.
      • Proficiency in MIG welding, blueprint reading, and fabrication.
      • Experience with stainless steel welding.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Fitting experience.
      • Mechanical aptitude.

      Work Environment

      This role is based at an industrial site and involves physically demanding work, including lifting, standing, and welding in varied positions. The environment exposes workers to industrial conditions, ensuring a dynamic and challenging workplace.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hamilton, ON.
