The Business Analyst II role is store-employee centric and will seek to optimize the utilization of our PSG Retail Store Workforce. The analyst will support the goals of the business and key HR initiatives, as well as source, brainstorm and create/develop solutions based on feedback and data collected internally and from the field. The analyst will then implement those solutions, ensuring successful programs, reporting and functionality that satisfy both stakeholders and users.
The analyst will work with various internal departments to develop, enhance and refine customized workforce reporting to ensure that field management has the necessary data, analysis and programs required to run the business effectively. Most importantly, this role will be primarily focused on supporting one of the PSG Divisions and their district leadership teams, however, will be responsible for collaborating with fellow teammates to ensure effective reporting and efficiencies that can benefit the entire field organization.This role is not remote/hybrid and will report to our Cleveland, OH Headquarters.
Qualifications
Formal Education & Certification
· Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 1 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business).
Knowledge & ExperienceRequired
· 1+ years IT and/or Business experience.
· 1+ years of experience as a business analyst or creating technical solutions.
· Understanding of various essential business functions of an organization.
· Demonstrated use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
· Proven ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
· Ability to summarize, visualize, and present data
· Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
· Documented Written Communication Skills
· In-depth Microsoft Excel skills, including experience in building formula driven workbook and working with pivot tables.
· Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
Preferred· MBA or master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field
· SW Stores or internal audit experience
· Lean or Six Sigma training / certification
· Analytics experience
· UKG Pro WFM experience or equivalent
· Benchmarking and trending experience
· Possess knowledge or relevant experience in forecasting, planning, and scheduling
· Ability to facilitate process mapping activities and working knowledge of mapping techniques
· Background in data mining and statistical analysis
· SQL, OneStream and MicroStrategy skills

Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
· Responsible for driving the workforce strategy across all of PSG.
· Operate as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
· Perform store work analysis studies to identify key metrics and areas of improvement, whether in the T&A system or through store processes.
· Assist in the analysis of store scheduling to identify areas of improvement in the T&A system as well as other supporting systems, and to identify potential new functionality and metrics for efficient scheduling based on external (to store) data inputs.
Development & Deployment
· Coordinate development, validation, and distribution of reporting required to manage store staffing and related strategies.
· Analyze and evaluate workforce metrics to improve capacity planning and maximize labor utilization rates. Apply analytics models and projections on organizational staffing to enhance forecasting accuracy and to improve workforce decision making.
· Plan, create, communicate forecasts and schedules.
Operational Management & Optimization
· Follow up with end-users and business stakeholders to ensure projects were implemented successfully.
· Support stores and field management by analyzing issues and resolve or escalate. Perform appropriate tracking and follow-up on all escalations.
· Utilize reporting to identify and trend issues. Recommend and facilitate omni-approach resolutions - track progress & validate success.
· Recommend staffing model modifications by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, monitoring variances, and identifying trends.
· Recommend T&A/WFM functionality and user experience changes, additions, updates, etc. that provide an improved user experience over time.
Incidental Functions
· Occasional travel for research, training, and support of workforce programs and projects for retail locations and field management.
