Responsibilities
This is the senior level job for Field Engineer, who have a demanding, hands-on job that makes use of the latest technologies to deliver solutions for our clients. Acts to manage field crews whenever necessary but also with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. They are trained and certified to maintain and run Special Services operations, among others. Independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Uses advanced techniques in the modification or extension of theories and practices to complete assignments. Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features. Reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance. Develops new techniques and or improved processes or materials, or products. Acts as technical specialist or advisor to management and staff. Oversees junior level specialists in completion of their assignments. Receives supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives and critical issues, new concepts and policy matters.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform installation of advanced equipment and/or services in the field. Thru Tubing milling & fishing, Well rejuvenation services.
Verify all necessary equipment and supplies are shipped to and arrive at wellsite in proper working condition.
Validate JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) for wellsite operations.
Prepare and submit accurate & thorough job reports on a timely basis, utilizing the relevant OEPS (Operational Excellence & Performance System) documents and WPTS (Weatherford Performance Tracking System).
Locate and use relevant supporting documentation (e.g. Tech Units, Running Procedures) for performing well installations including SharePoint and the Weatherford Intranet.
Perform disassembly, assembly, inspection, and testing of equipment along with supporting documentation as required.
Complete training plan as set out in the position within company guidelines.
Available on a 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Provide recommendation to improve operations process and procedures. Assist in corrective and preventive actions (CPAR’s/OFI’s) as related to workshop performance improvements.
Participate in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) teams to implement corrective/preventive actions.
Able to coach and mentor team members
Qualifications
Required:
Engineering Degree from accredited university (or equivalent)
8+ years related experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in operations relevant to product and ability to demonstrate competency required for this level
Understanding, ability to apply fundamental math and physicals principles
Knowledge of oilfield math calculations including volumes, pressures, forces, and basic hydraulics.
Computer skills including, but not limited to; Windows-based systems, Microsoft Office product suite
Able to demonstrate workshop competency
Valid driver’s license (where applicable)
Good oral and advanced written communication skills
Self-motivated, self starter
Must be able to follow instructions
Able to work closely with fellow employees
Preferred:
5 years minimum Thru Tubing experience
