Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team at our fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse by ensuring the accurate receipt and inspection of inbound shipments.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect inbound shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Verify quantities and product information against purchase orders and shipping documents.
• Accurately enter receiving data into warehouse management systems.
• Label, sort, and stage products for storage.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damaged goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of warehouse, receiving, inventory, or distribution center experience preferred.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to use handheld RF scanners and warehouse technology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory control processes.
• Ability to read shipping documents, bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders.
• Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.

Work Environment

Our facility is a warehouse-only environment, highly regulated by the FDA due to our pharmaceutical products. Shipping technicians work solely in the warehouse following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift, with the ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs. Candidates should be comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benicia, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
