- Holds valid teaching certificate
- Minimum 5 years football coaching experience
- Lead the Western Heights football operations, grades 7-12, to foster continuity, staff development, and student growth
- Facilitate in-season and off-season strength and conditioning for football program (This will include time in the athletic hour, and after school and/or and summer activities)
- Work with principals regarding interviewing, selection, and retention of the football staff, with an emphasis on quality in the classroom and quality on the field.
- Organize, along with other staff, a total-year calendar for all football related functions, including facility and transportation requests.
- Arrange, with proper approval, all fundraising requests of the Western Heights Football Program.
- Coordinate summer activities, community activities, and school day activities in support of the District mission to develop student athletes.
- Build good school/community relations by acting as the program representative at civic functions and school board meetings.
- Assume responsibility for the district football large capital inventory. This responsibility includes keeping an up-to-date inventory, arranging for all needed repair and storage, and coordinating with Superintendent for large capital outlay purchases
- Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student’s eligibility to participate in practices and contests.
- Provide timely and effective evaluative feedback to assistant coaching staff
