Job Description

- Manage departmental workflows and supervise accounting staff, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development support.
- Oversee essential accounting functions including accounts payable, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and fixed assets.
- Oversee monthly close, including adjusting journal entries, reviewing preliminary financial statements, researching discrepancies, assisting with the Allowance for Credit Loss model, and reviewing staff-prepared reconciliation.
- Prepare financial statements for the Executive Team and Board of Directors, as well as regulatory reports like the quarterly Call Reports (5300) for the NCUA.
- Manage the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement effective people, time, project, and organizational management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and to work effectively and efficiently with all levels of staff, members, and vendors.

The Accounting Supervisor plays a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations of our Accounting Department. This position oversees core accounting functions, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and supports a collaborative, high-performing team.
