      AGACNP Program Coordinator Description


      South College Online Campus is seeking an Adult–Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) Program Coordinator to join the Graduate Nursing Team!


      Responsibilities

      • Subject matter expert for specialty classes with oversight of content in courses in specific tracks of specialty.
      • Participant in the systematic quality review of curriculum updates and changes related to national accreditors and South College initiatives.
      • Participant in collaborative weekly 1:1 meeting with Associate Dean (AD) for review of operations, curriculum development, faculty, or student issues.
      • Faculty developer for all adjunct faculty teaching in the courses aligned with the program designated through formal communications and specific program development and implementation to address identified issues of improvement.
      • Collaborator with AD and Administrative Coordinator (AC) for all student preparation for practicum including review of preceptor credentialing, approval of preceptor changes with students, and problem solving any student challenges/preceptor/site challenges that evolve.
      • Reviewer of all preceptor assignments for students in practicum.
      • Virtual site reviewer for clinical partners/facilities where students are placed (this is a quarterly responsibility).
      • Contributor in collaborative interviews with AD for all new adjuncts teaching in program of designation.
      • Reviewer for new admissions that need oversight per AD for program of designation.
      • Member of the Program Coordinator (PC) meeting with attendance and activities aligned with strategic plans of the department (bimonthly, concurrently with curriculum meetings).
      • Active participant in the program curriculum team initiating, writing, and overseeing all curriculum changes in designated program in collaboration with instructional design team, aligning with program and course outcomes.
      • Coordinator with AD and AC for all course resources for students to enhance learning and improve student outcomes (i.e., APEA, library resources, new software, etc.)
      • Collaborator with AD for communications to adjuncts in specialty areas weekly to maintain communication, high standards of faculty performance, and technology updates.
      • Presenter of program updates at Faculty Forum and all South College forums designated to improve faculty and student outcomes.
      • Participant in interdepartmental meetings to represent the program, as opportunities arise.
      • Advocate and participate in all strategic initiatives with student persistence, matriculation, and enhanced growth of the South College programs.
      • Member of the Preceptor Advisory Board meeting to participate in enhancement and growth our clinical partner relationships.
      • Identification and ongoing communications with adjuncts regarding support and planning for any student in need of added resources due to inability to maintain weekly objectives in the course and mastery of content as demonstrated through assignments, exams, and/or performance at clinical sites.
      • Provider of oversight of students in program of designation and coordination of communications/meetings with students and adjunct for any student at-risk.
      • Participant in all program initiatives including but not limited to Immersion program, presentations of DNP final projects, and all other programs and initiatives directed by the leadership team.
      • Participant in all professional development activities provided by South College for enhancement of role attributes and leadership skills as identified by AD.
