General Information:
The Event Management Team and Festival Scheduling Office at James Madison University invites applications for the Assistant Scheduling Coordinator in the Festival Conference and Student Center. The Assistant Scheduling Coordinator works with day to day scheduling and supports event and conference processes in the Festival. School year employment with flexible hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Process event requests in VirtualEMS, JMU's virtual event management system
-Follow up on communications received by phone, in person and from the departmental mailbox
-Assist Event Scheduling Coordinator in processing major events and scheduling priorities
-Work with Operations Coordinator to communicate customer set up needs
-Update and maintain all forms utilized for scheduling
Qualifications:
-Knowledge of basic office practices
-Proficiency in Windows applications in a PC environment
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to process detailed work with accuracy and efficiency
Conditions of Employment:
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
