- Makes systematic calls on distribution partners (IMO, BGA, MGA, etc.) to maintain effective business relationships
- Responsible for managing the onboarding process for newly appointed downline agents, ensuring they are trained on company philosophy, products and methods of doing business.
- Make regular calls to firms, downline teams and downline agents to provide ongoing education for company products and practices, and to aid the firms in building a productive partnership.
- Responsible for sales production for the distribution channel
- Responsible for monitoring firms, agency, and individual agent performance to ensure production and other business metric expectations are met
- Monitors distribution channel landscape and report on matters relating to the company's competitiveness, such as product change needs, service, and operational change needs
- Provides input regarding strategic planning as it pertains to the distribution channel, including assisting with the creation of marketing strategies to support sales goals
- Attends and participates in periodic sales and educational meetings for firms and teams. These meetings should be a means of communication with partners to promote sales and educate agency force of Pekin Life products and value proposition.
- Provide marketing and sales support through the creation of newsletters, sales slicks, contest materials, presentations, and client-facing collateral.
- Assist in the development and execution of contests and marketing campaigns, including ongoing email and social media campaigns, to promote Pekin Life Brokerage and increase agent engagement.
- Works with Internal Wholesaler team to assist and train agents/agencies in using the company website and life illustration software
- Maintains engagement logs - Reporting dates, what was discussed, outcome of calls and necessary action items
- Attends periodic meetings at the Pekin Home Office as requested
- Travels to distribution partner locations throughout the United States will be required as needed, estimated to be 12-24 times per year
- Monitors distribution channel growth, growing a team of field support as deemed appropriate by leadership as the channel meets maturity targets
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- Typically requires 7+ years of industry experience, specifically in sales in the assigned territory
- Life Insurance Producers license required
- Listening and communicating with the ability to speak in public
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintain a positive image and build strong relationships
- Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Anticipate/recognize opportunities and problems
- Establish program goals and objectives that support the strategic plan
- $148,000-$195,000 per year
- This range is based on the expected level of experience and skills for this position. Final compensation will depend on individual qualifications.
