      The Assoc Analytics Engineers assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and analytics solutions. This is an entry level role that collaborates closely with senior team members to support ongoing projects and ensuring models, data sets and pipelines are dependable and accessible.

      SKILLS

      Duties & Responsibilities

      • Assist in building and maintaining data models, reporting systems, and data automation systems that support key business decisions.
      • Assist in staging data from multiple sources for integration into models.
      • Monitors the performance of analytic solutions and reports issues to senior engineers.
      • Implements quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
      • Develops and maintains documentation of models, user guides, policies, and procedures. Assists with employee training on newly developed models.
      • Adhere Data Governance first mindset and ensure that all data is managed in accordance with HIPAA, departmental and corporate guidelines to safeguard privacy and confidentiality, applying appropriate techniques to mask and encrypt data when necessary.
      • Other duties as assigned.


      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, or related field, or the foreign degree equivalent. Additional years of qualifying relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
      • PL300 certification or equivalent
      • 2+ years in BI, data science, Analytics, Data, or equivalent space
      • 2+ years’ experience with relational Databases (SQL Server, DB2, Snowflake) and Data Processes
      • Proficiency building tabular and multi-dimensional models.
      • 2+ years Power BI or equivalent tools (Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy)
      • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases.
      • Understanding of scripting languages (Python, R, Java, PowerShell, etc.)
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
      • Knowledge of Insurance/Healthcare industry or equivalent
      • Strong written and oral communication skills.

      Work-at-home requirements

      • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
      • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
      • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
      • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
      • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

      Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. G.E.H.A considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

      The hiring range for this position is $74,683 - $94,479 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $105,277 USD. While initial compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications, there is a path to work toward this top rate through performance and continued growth within the organization.
