      Overview Reports to: Managing Director, OOH The following are the responsibilities and duties of the Associate Director, OOH. This is not an all-inclusive list and will vary by account assignment. Role The Associate Director provides overall leadership to the Account group and manages the day-to-day activities of the account service and media buying for clients. The Associate Director is to ensure the client’s media plans are developed and implemented with the highest level of professionalism. How each media element performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changing An understanding of the client’s industry and environment within which he operates Skills/Abilities Leadership Ability to train and inspire team Teamwork Ability to foster a strong, cohesive working team Technical Skills Ability to understand media data sources in terms of what is measured, the method, and information reported Thorough knowledge of the principles of marketing and advertising as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements Problem Solving Ability to use alternative analytical approaches to solve media problems Ability to think in a non-linear fashion Ability to effectively handle personnel issues Verbal/Written Communication Skills Ability to write clearly and concisely and present orally in an articulate and confident manner Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate and interact with clients and effectively negotiate on the client’s behalf Ability to articulate objectives, opportunities and techniques Responsibilities Management: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of all account personnel, including: hiring and training; distributing, planning, assigning and directing work load; and overseeing/conducting performance appraisals Educate OMG personnel and agency/client about new media, industry trends, relevant opportunities, market and plant conditions as well as any other pertinent information Provide leadership necessary for individuals’ personal, professional and company growth Manage the flow of client media-related issues. Create solutions and resolve problems Media Strategy: Supervise strategic development and implementation of the agencies/client Out-of-Home programs Evaluate competitive activity in the marketplace Be fluent and knowledgeable with all local media and be able to communicate a cohesive OOH plan to the client/agency Participate in Checkmate sessions. Work with colleagues in Strategy and/or the Strategic Business Units, or independently, in each of the phases: Understand – provide insights into consumers, brand, product and media Design – identify behaviors, barriers, drivers and apertures; develop communication strategies Create – create specific tangible executional ideas Capitalize – bring activity schedule to life; encompass negotiation strategies and implementation of the buy Prepare and provide OOH recommendations and rational on local media options to regional OMG offices Assess media performance in order to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were accomplished Maintenance: Guide the account(s) to profitability and stability by growing business of existing accounts and developing new sources of revenue Recognize new account opportunities and work with partners to acquire new accounts to grow OMG revenue Provide monthly income projections to Managing Director Provide point-of-view on various media in the marketplace Handle any client requests – i.e. plan changes, budget changes, provide marketplace information Media Expertise: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of OOH opportunities, market developments, trends and media research Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of non-traditional OOH companies and media options Attend internal and external meetings and presentations Play an active role in the OOH advertising industries Compensation Range: $101,500 - $125,000 annual. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
