- Develops analytical models and data visualizations to drive analytic insights.
- Interacts with cross-functional teams to model current operations processes and evaluate potential solutions.
- Presents data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Partners with cross-functional teams to model operations processes.
- Engages with external collaborators to incorporate findings into UPS projects.
- Demonstrates ability to research and test new technologies, software, and methodologies as needed for projects.
- Intermediate experience in data management pipelines involving data extraction, analysis and transformation using either data querying languages (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, BQ), scripting languages (e.g. Python, C, R) and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. Gurobi, Cplex, R, Matlab, SAS)
- Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
- Master's Degree or PhD in Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
- 1-3 years work experience or equivalent research assistantship - Preferred

Job Summary
This position builds dynamic simulation models and develops and tests solution approaches to complex, inter-connected business problems. He/She applies machine learning and other data analysis techniques to solve large-scale logistics problems. This position works with a team to transform data analytics requirements into predictive and prescriptive solutions and innovative data visualizations to illustrate trade-offs and insights. He/She performs project work matched to skillsets, strengths, and interests.
