      Introduction:

      As Big Data developer, you will pioneer/support delivery of data based insights products, both newly created and on an exciting development journey within BX

      What will you be doing?

        • Own development and delivery for big data development in Spark, Teradata, Hive, HDFS, AWS
        • Provide L3 support Big data applications
      • Team Set-up including resources recruitment, ML model build/deliver methodology, governance
      • Identification and on-boarding of right ML products
      • ML training products and delivery of trainings
      • Champion and embed the delivery methods which are being adopted by the Bank (including any changes required to support ML solution)
      • Partnership with the Platform team to have right infrastructure in place to support ML initiatives across BUK
      • Manage internal and external engagements including ML Start-ups & established players, academic institutions
      • Staying very close to trends in Artificial Intelligence (AI) space to introduce changes in prompt manner(for products, methodology etc)
      • PoC to evaluate ML products and suitability of usecases for ML.
      • Negotiation and sourcing activities for on-boarding new ML products
      • Programme / project budget responsibility up to £10m
      • Line management responsibilities with 0-10 direct reports.
      • Accountable for and the advanced knowledge of: project delivery activities aligning to the business case.
      • Lead and direct team (functionally and/or LM) of Data Analysts, ETL Designers and Developers, Data Scientists to deliver e2e solution effectively and efficiently.
      • Accountable for and advanced knowledge of: scope, schedule and cost constraints inherent within the change environment at the programme / large project level and how they intersect with key enablers required for successful delivery (integration management, scope management, time management, cost management, quality management, HR management, communications management, risk management and procurement management).
      • Accountable for and advanced knowledge of: programme planning, including the progressive elaboration of scope into detailed work packages underpinning a critical path at the programme and large project level.
      • Accountable for and advanced knowledge of: the creation, management, and execution of a risk management framework including risk trigger/identification, risk assessment, risk composite indexing, risk control, and risk mitigation.
      • Overall accountability for the delivery of an end-to-end business and technology solution supported by the supply chain (internal and external) across multiple processes, systems and infrastructure.”¯”¯”¯”¯”¯”¯”¯”¯”¯”¯”¯”¯
      • Lead and champion key activities to enhance the wider Technology team culture such as but not limited to: Citizenship, Knowledge, Process & Tools, Resource Assignment Management, Recruitment & Onboarding, Professional Development, Culture, and Unified PM.

      What we’re looking for:

      • Hands on knowledge of big data delivery in Spark, Hive, HDFS & AWS (Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift etc)
      • Strong knowledge of SQL & Unix scripting
      • Hands-on with data analysis and deep-dive data mining & Data Warehousing

      Skills that will help you in the role:

      1. Graduate with preferred specialisation in IT, Mathematics
      1. Certifications in Big Data and/ or AWS development
