      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Support operating and capital budgets throughout the fiscal year
      - Monitor spending and funding sources to maintain accurate financial records
      - Prepare clear financial, performance, and legislative reports
      - Process budget actions in the financial system, including position changes and amendments
      - Provide data-driven responses to management and legislative inquiries

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Two years of technical level experience in accounting, budget, finance, or a similar field
      - A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics, or a closely related field can substitute for required experience
      - One year of entry professional level experience analyzing and reviewing budgetary data (for Budget Analyst 2)
      - Experience utilizing electronic information management systems
      - Ability to express information effectively in both oral and written communication

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience as a Budget Analyst or in a similar role
      - Familiarity with budget administration principles and practices
      - Skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling
      - Knowledge of legislative budget reporting requirements
      - Previous experience working in government or public sector budgeting
