- Act as a co‑pilot to the Business Development Executive, providing day-to-day support across prospecting, lead generation, and qualification activities.
- Execute high-volume outbound prospecting through channels such as email, calls, LinkedIn, and ZoomInfo‑sourced contacts.
- Convert cold leads into warm, sales‑ready opportunities through effective messaging, value positioning, and discovery questioning.
- Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and schedule meetings or discovery calls for the Business Development Executive.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates of all prospect interactions and workflow progress within Salesforce.com
- Conduct targeted research using ZoomInfo and LinkedIn to identify potential accounts and key decision makers.
- Perform daily outreach activity, including cold calls (16+ per day), emails, and multi‑touch sequences.
- Create a predictable flow of opportunities into the top of the sales funnel through consistent prospecting efforts.
- Monitor lead quality, track conversion rates, and contribute insights to optimize outreach strategies.
- Work closely with the Business Development Executive to align on target accounts, meeting goals, and outreach strategies.
- Partner with the sales team to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads and maintain continuity in prospect engagements.
- Provide regular updates on outreach activity, pipeline movement, and meeting outcomes.
- Shared revenue goal with Business Development Manager: co‑ownership of a $1.5MM target
- Daily calls: 16+ per day
- Activity metrics: number of calls, emails, and total touches per day
- Meeting conversion: percentage of qualified leads converted into confirmed meetings
- Lead qualification effectiveness and contribution to overall funnel health
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in sales development, business development, or outbound prospecting is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in cold outreach and lead qualification.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, metric-driven environment.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools is preferred.

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, delivering industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing. The Business Development Representative supports the Business Development Executive (BDE) in driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospective enterprise clients. This role focuses heavily on prospecting activities, including cold outreach, lead qualification, and scheduling high-quality meetings that contribute to the sales pipeline. The Business Development Representative plays a key role in generating new business opportunities and acts as a strategic co‑pilot to the BDE in achieving shared revenue goals.
