  Citi Technology Infrastructure team is looking for a Business Risk Officer - VP who will support assigned Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) Global Technology Platform (Middleware Technology) function in driving the Risk & Controls agenda designing, implementing, and monitoring control framework, supporting audits making sure supported Infrastructure is compliant with Citi policies and relevant legislations and contribute to Effective Management Control Assessment (MCA).

  Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and supporting multiple risk and control programs for the organization including defining the strategy, approach, processes, quality, tools, and reporting that provide global risk management consistency and excellence.

  • Works closely with business partners on findings and makes recommendations on improving practices.

  • Develops procedural implementation and change management process with Operations and Reporting team to ensure proper governance and controls exist.

  • Examines procedures for consistency and gaps relative to regulations in addition to impacts on customer experience.

  • Conducts internal testing of dispute processes to ensure control.

  • Establishes quarterly and annual Risk and Control Assessment (QRA, ARA) process of attributes to ensure proper calculation and control.

  • Identifies and assigns key metrics (e.g. KRI/KPIs) to support effective monitoring and management of operational risk including controls assurance and ensure issues identified and corrective actions are raised to address gaps.

  • Follows through corrective action plans (CAP) to resolve identified issues either by management or audit.

  • Works to maximize MCA completeness and IBAM (Issues being addressed by management) ratios.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5-7 years relevant work experience in Technology Risk & Controls in any one area or combined areas of Control, Risk Management, Compliance and Audit.

  • Understanding of at least one technology infrastructure area. Exposure in Middleware Technology will be beneficial.

  • Ability to build partnership within the organization to drive successful implementation of programs and projects.

  • Effective organizational influencing skills required.

  • Ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details.
