What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals, including verifying patient eligibility and coordinating benefits
- Document patient insurance coverage, including medications and related infusion services
- Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility based on benefit verification
- Initiate and secure prior authorization and medical review, including reviewing clinical documents
- Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding the status of referrals and coverage updates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Ability to multitask and support multiple referrals while meeting productivity expectations
- Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with CPR+ software
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
