What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and documenting coverage for medications and infusion services
- Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility based on benefit verification and payer contracts
- Initiate and secure prior authorization and medical review, including obtaining necessary clinical documents
- Communicate with patients, referral sources, and other departments about referral statuses and coverage updates
- Assist patients in enrolling in financial assistance programs when needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Ability to multi-task and manage numerous referrals while meeting productivity and quality expectations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with knowledge of HIPAA regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with CPR+ software
- Previous work in a fast-paced environment
