What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process claims for various medical services, ensuring accurate billing and coding
- Review medical documentation for compliance with coding guidelines
- Prepare claims with necessary fields for processing, including authorizations and modifiers
- Provide feedback to clinical staff regarding documentation and compliance
- Manage claims for auditing purposes and communicate updates to office managers and physicians
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have CPC or equivalent certification
- Extensive knowledge of coding, billing, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Office products
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience collaborating with a remote team
- Certified coder from AAPC or AHIMA
- Strong analytical skills to identify process-based issues
