What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage an assigned underwriting team, enforcing corporate and regional underwriting guidelines
- Implement effective underwriting practices and strategies to address profit challenges
- Coordinate with underwriters and branch management during agency planning and review processes
- Develop and foster agency relationships, focusing on profitability and growth
- Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with guidelines, authority, and service directives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of six years of commercial lines underwriting experience
- CPCU designation or other underwriting-related designation(s) preferred
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
