Job Summary/Basic Function
Under the Supervision of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid:
- Review, evaluate, and process professional judgment requests from students to modify the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) regarding unusual and special circumstances.
- Analyze and adjust Cost of Attendance (COA) components in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Collaborate with Aerospace and Bursar Offices to coordinate the adjustments of COA for the funding of flight labs. Counsel and assist Aerospace students in financial aid options.
- Evaluate and resolve overawards in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Designated back-up for the processing and monitoring of federal / state / institutional aid for students enrolled in Study Abroad coursework and/or participating in a Financial Aid Consortium Agreement.Required Education
Bachelor's degree required. A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) and three years of directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
Required Related Experience
Minimum two years of customer service experience required.
Desirable Related Experience
- Two years of Financial Aid or related experience in higher education.
- Experience using Banner or a related financial aid management system.
- Experience with Argos.
- Experience working in the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), COD, FSA Partner Connect, and FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP).Documents Needed to Apply
