Job Title :-Copy Editor
Location:- Open For 100% Remote
Duration: 6 months plus extensions
JOB DESCRIPTION:
News & Insights is dedicated to delivering timely and relevant real estate news to our audience. We are seeking a talented and experienced copy editor to join our team to edit and support the production of stories to ensure they meet our standards for tone, style, and accuracy.
In this role, you will work with the copy chief and be responsible for editing a range of articles related to real estate news, advice, unique homes, and celebrity homes.
You will display excellent editorial judgment and have flawless copyediting skills.
You will also have experience grounded in digital newsrooms and understand digital-first best practices.
You will be a team player who can work with a range of editors and reporters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Edit copy for grammar and style, and fact-check in a timely manner and under pressure
Edit a range of articles, including real estate news, economic news, advice to homebuyers and sellers, unique homes, and celebrity real estate news
Ensure that the Realtor.com News & Insights house style is maintained
Collaborate with editors and reporters
REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrable experience working in a digital-first news environment and familiarity with digital-first best practices
Solid news judgment
Familiarity with real estate news
Meticulous copyediting skills, a flair for writing headlines, an understanding of SEO
Familiarity with the Associated Press Stylebook
Experience working with WordPress
