What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Initiate and maintain credentialing files for various healthcare professionals, including physicians and advanced practitioners
- Assist in the completion of credentialing and re-credentialing paperwork for medical staff appointments
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate credentialing processes
- Provide support for hospital privileges and licensing changes for new physicians
- Maintain accuracy in credentialing software and adhere to compliance policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare-related studies preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare experience required
- Experience in healthcare credentialing preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various office machinery
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting with credentialing responsibilities
- Familiarity with managed care plans and hospital credentialing processes
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
