What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide maintenance support for Oracle and SQL Server Databases in production and non-production environments
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups and upgrades, and proactively resolve database issues
- Monitor database performance and optimize systems to meet business critical application SLAs
- Collaborate with various teams to support application development and integrate new systems
- Document database changes and deployment procedures as required
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 9 years of professional experience managing various database systems
- Proficiency in database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle) and query languages like SQL
- Deep expertise in database operations, performance optimization, backup/recovery, and security compliance
- Experience with AWS RDS instances and familiarity with AWS cloud architecture

- Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies as required
- Familiarity with cloud-based tools and platforms like AWS and Azure
- Understanding of Scrum teams, CI/CD automation, and ITSM practices
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
