      We are searching for a Director, DevSecOps to join our Digital & Direct Commerce applications group. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of technologists committed to delivering innovative solutions across our diverse portfolio of brands. You will define DevOps and Automated testing strategies that guarantee the performance, security, scalability and maintainability of our solutions. You will facilitate agile feature development cycles and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our commerce landscape.


      The ideal candidate is a quick learner who has strong interpersonal skills, a passion for process improvement and the ability to balance progress over perfection. With a deep understanding of software development best practices and cybersecurity, you’ll be the driving force behind architecting and delivering robust CI/CD pipelines across both simple and complex platforms. You’ll partner with our engineering teams, product managers and application management teams to translate complex technical concepts and ensure common understanding of priorities, requirements, and the efficient management of DevOps processes and solutions.

      What you will do

      • Design and manage the development and maintenance of efficient DevOps processes and technologies that can be scaled across teams and applications
      • Partner with Development, Security & Architecture teams to ensure DevOps strategies are implemented within required timeframes, while delivering performance & reliability at scale
      • Participate in architecture design and implementation of infrastructure monitoring, security, and scaling solutions
      • Champion design and improvement reviews, including identifying and remediating existing technical debt
      • Identify and develop improvements for test coverage of new and existing code bases
      • Participate in vendor evaluation & selection for key initiatives related to DevOps solution assessments

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar degree
      • At least 10 years previous experience in a DevOps or Release Engineer role working closely with Software Engineers
      • Hands-on experience with the following technologies and processes
        • Cloud infrastructure and services (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.)
        • Test-driven development methodologies
        • Security-related infrastructure best practice and application security
        • Container-based frameworks (Kubernetes/Docker)
        • Python, Bash, and yaml
        • Pipelines at scale (Github Actions, Circle CI, or Travis)
        • Administration of code versioning tools (Git, Bitbucket)
      • Familiarity with infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools (such as Terraform and Ansible)


      Required Competencies

      • Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
      • Ability to express sophisticated technical concepts in business terms and translate business needs into technical specifications


      Preferred Qualifications

      • Proven capability of leading technical projects through an agile methodology
      • Proficient in the use of payment gateways (Stripe, Paymetric, Adyen, Moneris, etc.)
      • History of using user-centric design and applying User Experience concepts
      • Familiarity with data privacy concepts (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA), threat modeling, and other advanced security methodologies


      Compensation and Benefits
      Salary Range $146,000.00 - $182,500.00 USD

      Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

      Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

      • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
      • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
      • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
      • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
      • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
      • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
