What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and enhance the organization’s compliance and privacy programs
- Conduct annual compliance and privacy risk assessments and develop work plans
- Serve as the HIPAA Privacy Officer and respond to security incidents
- Lead internal investigations related to non-compliance and privacy violations
- Provide ongoing reports on program activities to leadership and relevant committees
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Healthcare compliance certification
- Minimum of five years of progressive compliance experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience with healthcare privacy and HIPAA regulations
- Knowledgeable regarding healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree, juris doctorate, or other advanced degree relevant to healthcare
- Clinical training or experience is a plus
