      Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Admissions the Director of International Admissions Relations & Partnerships oversees all activities related to the recruitment, outreach and yield activities related to prospective international students. This includes coordinating efforts to align strategies to meet the Universities’ enrollment goals, both overall and international goals specifically, and working closely with campus partners on shared international student outreach efforts and initiatives. Be aware of all current market trends and make informed recommendations on both established and emerging international student markets.

      Responsibilities:

      • Advises on and contributes to the operations and processes within the Admissions Office that supports international students’ needs which includes managing the international undergraduate application process review and making the initial undergraduate admission recommendation for international applicants.

      • Develop and execute international recruitment and outreach strategies in collaboration with key academic and administrative campus partners.

      • Work closely with international student advisors at high schools, community colleges to establish strong working relationships to advise students of transfer opportunities.

      • Advise both internal and external parties on matters of initial immigration, SEVIS requirements, English proficiency standards, policies around international admissions and transcript evaluation, and incoming transfer related issues. Comply with the rules and regulations of SEVIS.

      • Interview students, engage in telephone and e-mail communications.

      • Review and evaluate foreign credentials for undergraduate applicants.

      • Manage and continuously evaluate and develop the international admissions specialist’s team and work with the EVP Admissions & Strategic Marketing to determine team strategy and goals.

      • Responsible for the international admissions team productivity, including, tracking individual admissions specialist enrollment, time management and overall job quality and effectiveness.

      • Manage a portfolio and advise and register international prospects/applicants/students for admission and registration.

      • Oversee first semester student’s registration.

      • Manage the international admissions budget.

      • Advise international students on F-1 visa non-immigration policies, academic class registration and cultural issues, monitors health insurance, international student housing needs, and other critical factors surrounding relocation.

      • Work closely with the Housing Department, Academic departments, Student Services, Academy Resource Center, ESL Department, Accounts Receivable, Graduate School, Records, Campus Tour Department, Student Activities, Business Services and IT always maintaining the best environment for new international students.

      • Interact professionally with a wide array of people including prospects, applicants, students, parents/relatives and agents.

      • Assist in coordinating and participating in the international check-in, which includes scheduling work schedules for the team and coordinating I.T. and operations set-up for the event.

      • Be highly organized, professional, efficient, productive, and familiar with Academy of Art University programs and personnel regulations.

      • Perform other responsibilities as needed and assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • Must possess knowledge regarding market trends related to international students.

      • Experience leader and manager, proven track record leading, motivating and training a team of International Admission Representatives.

      • Five to ten years’ experience in Higher Education with International Student Recruitment.

      • Established network of international contacts.

      • Proven track record with high volume student enrollment success.

      • At least three years’ experience recruiting international students and developing international territories as well as expanding international student enrollment

      • Five to ten years’ experience with Business Development in Higher Education.

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, in Higher Education, Business or Marketing is preferred.

      Compensation:

      $100,000 to $130,000.00 based on experience
