Navistar is committed to being a leader and pace setter in this transformation. We are looking for a talented and experienced Director, Mobility Solutions to lead a new team. The team will be responsible for the Navistar eMobility strategy, orchestrate the corporate wide transformation, explore new eMobility business opportunities and business models. The position will be based in our Lisle, Illinois headquarters and report into our Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. Responsibilities · Lead definition and continuously refine Navistar eMobility strategy, that is actionable and clearly understood and aligned with vision · Steward and orchestrate the eMobility transformation, with corporate wide implications across product development, sourcing, supply, commercial and after sales · Lead exploration of mid- and longer term eMobility business opportunities in areas such as renewable energy, batteries, charging, software, operational services, and circularity · Lead evaluation of new business models that lowers the industry barriers of transitioning to eMobility while seeking a win-win distribution of risk and value · Coordinate overall EV partnership strategy, establish relationships and nurture partnerships required for the Navistar and customers eMobility ecosystem · Support commercial client teams on longer term strategic business opportunities and shaping of mega-deals · Lead collaboration and exchange of experiences with Traton group in area of eMobility. Seek synergies on sourcing and partnerships. Leverage group level experience and best practice to accelerate transformation · Build and lead Navistar team for eMobility Strategy, Transformation and New Business Models Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 14 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience At least 6 years of management experience OR Master’s degree At least 12 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience At least 6 years of management experience OR At least 16 years of business development, sales, mergers and acquisitions, or joint venture experience At least 6 years of management experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills · Industry experience at a leadership level · Experience of strategy in technical/solution B2B context, ultimately in emerging product verticals · Highly analytical, motivated, decisive thought leader · Excellent leadership skills and experience in building team · Ability to independently generate strategic insights · Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing strategies to improve operational and financial performance · Experience developing presentation materials for and interfacing with executive management · Strong understanding of the commercial vehicle industry, including business models, ecosystem players and competitive landscape · Solid experience driving strategic business development · Proven track-record leading growth initiatives with considerable impact on business results · Strategic thinker with ability to assess situations and counsel on best strategies to garner positive outcomes with measurable results · Proven experience driving strategic collaborations with multiple external stakeholders including government, industry and academia · Proven ability to effectively communicate to external and internal stakeholders on executive level · Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple activities and respond to changing priorities with good judgment Company Overview Navistar, Inc.
