      DIRECTOR OF SALESFORCE

      JOB IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

      Department: Finance and Administration

      JOB SUMMARY

      The Director of Salesforce provides strategic leadership, governance, and oversight of the Salesforce platform at One More Child. This role ensures Salesforce is aligned with organizational needs by defining requirements, designing best-practice solutions, and supporting long-term platform growth. The Director leads cross-functional collaboration, drives user adoption, oversees project prioritization, and guides the roadmap for Salesforce capabilities..

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
      • Lead communication, prioritization, and management of Salesforce-related projects.
      • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, user-centric solutions.
      • Define and maintain a Salesforce roadmap aligned with organizational strategy.
      • Monitor Salesforce adoption across departments; recommend improvements to support effectiveness.
      • Provide leadership in managing sandbox strategy, release planning, version control and governance processes.
      • Lead governance of user access controls, permission sets and platform security
      • Oversee and contribute to the development of user training, onboarding, and training materials.
      • Support and participate in organization-wide communication plans, including print, digital, and electronic formats when Salesforce elements are involved.
      • Oversee all Salesforce licensing contracts, ensuring accurate allocation of licenses, cost-effective utilization, and compliance with vendor terms.
      • Evaluate and negotiate renewals for Salesforce and third-party app contracts, securing optimal pricing and ensuring the platform remains scalable and sustainable.
      • Stay engaged in the Salesforce community to bring forward best practices and innovation.
      • Direct the work of team members or contractors supporting Salesforce initiatives.
      • Manage workload and project priorities with strong change-management practices.
      • Ensure daily operational tasks are completed as related to Salesforce platform
      • Uphold confidentiality standards for organizational and stakeholder data.
      • Serve as an organizational representative in alignment with One More Child's core values and guiding principles.


      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Provide supervision and leadership to the Salesforce team, including recruiting, hiring, and supervising responsibilities.
      • Communicate regularly with staff to provide timely coaching and constructive feedback.
      • Create a department environment supporting mentoring and professional development opportunities for staff and interns.
      • Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment that promotes staff morale and retention.
      • Ensure all staff operational guidelines are applied consistently across all service locations.

      REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
      • Bachelor's degree required
      • Minimum of five years' experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
      • Five years in leadership, managerial, or senior systems/CRM role.
      • Proven experience owning or co-owning a Salesforce roadmap.
      • Proven ability to gather business requirements and develop technical or functional solutions.
      • Demonstrated experience directing staff, managing complex projects, and balancing diverse priorities.
      • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels.
      • Demonstrated comfort with platform governance and organizational change management.
      • Experience implementing or integrating:
      • Data warehouses
      • Marketing automation (e.g., Marketing Cloud / Pardot)
      • Third-party Salesforce apps


      PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
      • Master's Degree

      This job requires the ability to work in stressful conditions from time to time and remain focused for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (boxes, documents, and equipment).
