The role of the Tolerance Analyst provides a fascinating insight into the design, manufacture and installation of airframe from the very first R&T phase up to the production, interacting with the Final Assembly Line. In the frame of the stage, a visit to the Final Assembly Lines in Toulouse is planned. Particularly, the Tolerancing deliverable is central to the overall solution, working in concert with complex design principles and tools such as DFEM and Aerodynamics. Understanding how an aircraft is designed and manufactured, and applying appropriate Tolerancing solutions is essential for achieving best performance and cost effective manufacturing.
Finally, the team collaborates as well with other Airbus divisions: Helicopters and Space vehicles in Europe in offering Tolerancing expertise to achieve best compromises between performance and cost effective manufacturing and production.
