- Perform parking operations within the district, to include but not limited to completing monetary and financial functions, staffing pay stations and gates to ensure the proper and safe flow of customers and vehicles, conducting garage and other parking asset services and general maintenance, etc.
- Perform parking enforcement through actively working to resolve unsafe and/or illegal parking situations in the district and city. Issue citations and cause the removal of illegally parked vehicles in response to parking and other ordinance violations, if necessary or required.
- Perform district services, to include but not limited to refuse collection and management, upkeep of common areas, pressure washing, performing minor horticulture work, vandalism response and control, graffiti identification and removal, aiding in the identification and removal of district nuisances and monitoring and addressing other needs as identified.
- Assist and participate in the planning, production and implementation of special events in the district, to include but not limited to vendor relations, closing streets, bollard/barricade management, logistical support, entertainment coordination, event operations, and site preparation, etc.
- Coordinate, assist and communicate with various district stakeholders, including other municipal departments, to implement respective activities and efforts. Interact with and assist citizens and visitors, including responding to questions and receiving feedback regarding district assets, operations and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or directed, including but not limited to assisting with activities related to overseeing and/or coordinating work assignments for community workers.
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Texas Driver’s License
Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
Ability to work Texas A&M University home football games and other special events as identified
- Work is performed both indoors (parking garage area) and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions. May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, noise and unpleasant weather conditions. Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, reaching below and above shoulders, and requires moderate to heavy physical exertion andthe necessary physical strength/ability/dexterity to carry, push or pull lifting objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Wrist, hand and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment and materials.

Under general supervision of the District Supervisor, the District Enforcement Specialist is responsible for implementation of district plans, operations and services in the Northgate District, to include but not limited to providing prompt, courteous and effective customer service to stakeholders, citizens and visitors; enforcing City Ordinances; and implementing and enforcing district policies, procedures, and activities to improve the overall condition of the area and enhance neighborhood integrity.

Hours of work: Thursday from 4:30 PM to 3:30 AM. Friday and Saturday 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM (subject to change pending on operational needs) NOTE: Employee will be eligible for $0.50/hour shift differential.
