      Job Overview:

      The EKG Technician II is responsible for performing EKG and Stress testing for outpatients in the department or bedside in inpatient units

      Qualifications:

      Required:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required

      • Basic Life Support BLS through the American Heart Association AHA required

      • Minimum 1 year experience as an EKG Technician required

      Preferred:

      • Minimum 1 year experience with Stress Testing strongly preferred

      • EKG certification strongly preferred

      Essential Functions:

      • The EKG Technician II is responsible for performing EKG and Stress testing for outpatients in the department or bedside in inpatient units,

      • The EKG Technician II also responds to all orders and prioritizes urgent requests, maintains equipment and machinery in department, and monitors equipment or stock that needs replacing,

      • Will also work closely with physicians, staff, patients, and visitors to provide excellent customer service care,

      • Required to collaborate in a team environment and contribute to successful patient care culture,

      • Must work with extreme attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills
