Job Description
- Req#: 21289
- Develop request for proposals to support energy efficiency projects Review and verify technical merits of business customer energy efficiency applications, including calculation of energy savings and verification of equipment specifications
- Customer site inspections to verify the installation of energy efficient equipment at Utility commercial and industrial businesses
- Interact with customers to address questions or concerns about the installed equipment or program information
- Conduct facility walk-throughs to identify energy efficiency opportunities and generate corresponding energy report
- Conduct community outreach to include program presentations to inform customers of energy service offering
- Project management support
- Database management support
- Weekly, Monthly, and annual reporting
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- Intermediate level in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access is required
- An understanding of key application specific analytical tools including but not limited to data filtering, sorting and pivot tables
- Minimum 5 year of experience in Energy Efficiency– Certified energy auditor preferred
- Experience with eQuest and or Energy Plus modeling software
- Technical writing experience
- Willingness and ability to travel, up to 25% of the time (out of state traveling)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb up/down a ladder
- Must be able to prioritize and work both independently and as part of a team
- Proactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages customer expectations accordingly
- A positive, collaborative and team-oriented attitude
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written), customer service /phone, organization and grammar skills are essential
- The ability to work well under pressure in time-critical situations and be productive and self-motivated
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Local Unit & Position Description
DNV GL – Energy's Sustainable Energy Use – PDI group is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer to join NV Energy Programs team, this position is designated to support major customer accounts, conduct energy audits, project inspections, customer education, project management, community outreach and develop of energy efficiency contract proposals.
This position is based out of our Las Vegas, Nevada office.
